The Fight for Telework: Public Comment Guide

The Civil Service Commission will soon provide the opportunity for public comment on a permanent telework policy. We’ve been pushing for a policy at the bargaining table that reflects the need for greater flexibility, inclusivity, and departmental discretion, but it's time for our members to make themselves heard.  

We’re calling on all state and judiciary members to mobilize for telework by drafting a public comment and wearing red on Thursdays in a display of solidarity. If you've never written a public comment, or want to look at examples and talking points, read our Public Comment Guide. Stewards will be collecting comments in the coming weeks. We urge you to start drafting early so we can flood the CSC with member voices.  

Reach out to your steward, staff rep, or our communications specialist if you need help with drafting your comment and be on the lookout for more updates and member actions. We need all hands on deck to win the telework policy that works for all of us.
