Willingboro Crossing Guards Mobilize Against Privatization

Willingboro School Crossing Guards successfully won their fight against possible privatization by the Township. After weeks of speculation about whether the Township Administration was considering outsourcing, CWA 1036 members filled the Council meeting on May 6. 

Thank you to Mayor Whitfield and Council members for listening to all the members who testified about their decades of protecting our kids as they walk to school. Crossing guards are trusted Township workers with deep connections to our community. We appreciate the Mayor and Council members for their support and clear statements that they are not in favor of privatization.
