4/11/2022: NJ State Executive Branch Update
Update as of 4/11/2022 for State Executive Branch Workers:
CWA Locals and CWA NJ have agreed to extend the State Executive Branch MOA on Testing and Leaves again, through April 30. Like the prior extension, this continues all provisions of the negotiated MOA, including COVID SICK and COVID FAMILY leaves.
We realize some members have asked when testing will end given relaxation of other COVID related rules. To be clear, the State has the legal authority to impose a testing mandate and to extend it. The Union has the right to negotiate the effects of such a policy. That is the origin and continuing purpose of the MOA.
Under the MOA, testing must be provided at no cost to employees. If members have any difficulty with free testing, please contact the Local.
ADA accommodations for remote working should continue to be handled through the normal ADA process. ADA is separate from the MOA and is its own process. Departments may periodically ask for recertification of ADA remote working requests. If members have any concerns with continuation of ADA remote working, please contact the Local.
